Ana Gutiérrez
Foreign Trade and Labor Market Coordinator
Economist with a Degree from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM). She has taken courses on foreign trade, trade agreements and the Mexico-United States bilateral relationship at UCSD, Harvard Kennedy School and the Organization of American States.
She currently coordinates the Foreign Trade and Labor Market departments at IMCO, where she participates in the creation of studies and publications on USMCA, the Mexican employment outlook and current trade figures; she also coordinates two competitiveness monitors on the subjects and assists in the elaboration of the International Competitiveness Index.
Additionally, she gives conferences to academic, business and other audiences on behalf of IMCO. Her skills include an extensive knowledge of information sources, as well as deep analytical skills and public speaking.
She was previously the Research Coordinator at Mexico, ¿cómo vamos?, a civil society organization focused on monitoring national and state economic figures. Throughout her career, she has appeared in national media, with numerous menti ons on front pages. She has also established project planning ties with other organizations and networks.
